Course Description
This course introduces students to the concept of Paired Notes (Janta Swaras), providing them with an understanding of the various patterns in which these notes can be sung. Students will learn 8 patterns of Janta Varisais in the Raga Mayamalavagowla and practice them at three different speeds. Additionally, this course provides devotional songs & Bhajans Objective 1. To master 8 Janta Varisai patterns in the Raga Mayamalavagowla. 2. To learn all 8 Janta Varisais in three different speeds, synchronized with Tala. 3. To practice the Janta Varisais using aakaram in slow speed. 4. To understand the nomenclature of swaras. 5. To develop an understanding of voice modulation and melody. Topics Covered: Janta Varisais 1 to 8 Sapta Swara Sarali Swara revision Melodious Bhajans will be taught, enabling students to understand various ragas and learn how to perform them effectively. Theory classes & stories based on the lessons. The outcomes for the course are - The student is able to Janta Varisais independently. The student can sing most Varisais in both the 1, 2 & 3 speeds, maintaining proper Tala. The student can perform Bhajans and devotional songs with melody and rhythm. The student understands how patterns are used to develop musical skills.
